The Wounaan indigenous people who live mostly in the department of Chocó, use the hearts of the Weguer palm, better known in Antioquia as Wérregue, to make emblematic and beautiful baskets with anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures, which cannot be missing in their homes. This plant reaches about 20 meters in height and when the indigenous people, using special tools and methods, detach their buds, they ask permission from the spiritual owner of the palm: JAI, with this they avoid contracting diseases. The Wounaan have wonderfully perfected the technique of weaving the fiber and that is why we can now count on plates, lamps, trays, bags and fruit bowls.
These beautiful Macondas pay homage to these artisans who adorn many homes in Colombia and abroad with their works of art.

The Macondas are shoes designed by artisans and/or artists and made of superior quality canvas that resists washing without speckling. Their artistic designs are printed with state-of-the-art processes and machinery that makes them resistant to a large number of washes without changing the color. . They have a lining made of soft polyester and a padded insole for greater comfort. The sporty Macondas have a wonderful sole made of an EVA alloy that makes it light and flexible, plus rubber to make it slip resistant .

What is my size in Macondas?
Shoes: order the size you wear most often, avoid ordering one size up or down as we use a normal size measurement. If you are a medium size, we recommend you order the largest size and add an original Macondas insole, with this you will achieve a better fit.
For belts , you can take your waist measurement or based on pant size.
What happens if when I measure them it is not my size?

Wash your Macondas by hand, with a soft bristle brush and a soap for delicate clothes. Completely avoid contact of your Macondas with strong detergent, machine wash and all kinds of bleaches or chemicals. Let your Macondas dry in the shade in a ventilated place. If you want to revive its colors, we recommend you include the Macondas Cleaner in your purchases.
The ref. "Jericó", being 100% leather, you should only clean them with a dry cloth.
